Intended to act as a think-and-do-tank, the STC has pioneering offerings that bring together manufacturing industry actors with cutting-edge technologies and innovations, in a way that shapes the future of the manufacturing industry whilst contributing to the improvement of operations within the industry.
Development of Future-Oriented Industrial Policies and Strategies
Taking into account the transformation needs of the manufacturing industry, global trends, and local dynamics, we develop long-term, inclusive, and applicable industrial policies and provide information support for regulatory and strategic work in areas covering the manufacturing sector. By identifying sectoral priorities based on our field experience and findings, we provide decision-makers with strategic decision support systems and promote inclusive growth.
Designing Application Interfaces for Transformative Technologies
We design application models and user-friendly interfaces that facilitate the physical and digital use of transformative technologies that affect the business model, business process, and product within the five focus areas of the Strategic Transformation Center. Our primary goal is to eliminate barriers to implementation and increase competitiveness.
Development of Industrial Technology Platform Service Delivery Models
We are developing new generation service delivery models to ensure that technology and consulting services for manufacturing industry are more accessible, aligned with industry needs, effective, and sustainable.
International Collaborations
As an actor shaping the future of the manufacturing industry in Türkiye and globally, the STC will engage in partnerships and collaborations with leading global and regional actors from the manufacturing industry. These collaborations will include manufacturers, service providers, international organizations, investment funds, and other thinktanks, amongst other types of stakeholders. Additionally, the STC will engage extensively with academic and research institutions, including universities, R&D centers, and research institutes.
Index Development
The STC has developed the Industrial Transformation Index, a signature economic index that aims to capture the key transformation needs faced by manufacturers in Türkiye and globally. The Industrial Transformation Index combines various factors to provide a comprehensive view of a country's pathways to industrial transformation. The five main components cover different aspects of industrial transformation, including production, location, institutional quality, human resources, and business dynamism.
The STC will continue developing and updating the Industrial Transformation Index as an annual flagship publication, along with other indices that may be of relevance based on the industry’s transformational needs and requirements.
Facilitating Start-Up Investments Through Venture Capital (VC) Funds
Given the increasingly significant role to be played by start-ups in driving the future of industrial transformation, it is extremely important to ensure that start-ups have access to support and resources, particularly early-stage financing. The STC aims to bring together VC funds and innovative manufacturing start-ups, in order to ensure that the start-ups have access to a platform where they may be matched with sources of capital. The key objective of the VC stream is to ensure that VCs can identify and help scale up innovative technologies with the potential to improve efficiency within the manufacturing industry.
Patent-Technology Matching
The STC believes that the intersection between innovation and mass-scale industrial deployment is of vital importance for any manufacturing industry to leapfrog to the next stage. The STC team develops cutting-edge algorithms and models aiming to match data from patents with data about mega and critical technologies, in order to ensure that industrial activity is fueled by cutting-edge innovations and that the technologies deserving of being closely monitored are on the manufacturing industry’s radar.
